Q. I cannot connect.1
Please make sure both you and your partner is online. Also, make sure
if your partner’s IP address is correct.
If those were OK and you still have trouble, please restart your Gphone
and try again.
Q. I cannot connect.2
Depending on the network that you use, necessary ports might not be open.
These are the ports used for Pocket Gphone
TCP:700, UDP:6701
Please use your router to change the settings of the ports.
Q. I can hear voice static.1
With the following audio device driver, this problem has been reported.
· GENIO e550x(The audio device driver has a problem when receiving
voice data.)
· BUFFALO 802.11b CF card WLI-CF-S11G (Problem with packet transmission)
· Pocket PC2000 (this audio driver is not full duplex compatible)
The iPaq iPaq3900 series have been reported to have double voice or pick up
some static. This is a compatibility issue.
Q. I can hear voice static .2
The case of wireless LAN environment(802.11b):
Please make sure there is no electronic wave conflicts, such as other
wireless LAN devices, microwave, or any other devices using 2.4GHz width
electronic wave. Having conflicts with other these devices can cause such
phenomena
Other:
·If your partner is using PC Gphone please adjust the microphone
reception in the options.
·Your network card might have a problem.
·If you are installing a firewall(filtering software), this problem
might occur.
Q. I cannot hear well
Turn up the PDA sound volume.
If your partner is using PCGphone, as him/her to turn the volume of PC
up.
Q. I can hear an echo
You must be hearing that from your partners speaker through his microphone.
Please ask him to use headphones or turn down the volume.
Q. Noise other than partners voice is too loud
A PDA’s microphone in most cases is designed to pick up all the
noises.
If you are using a stylus or any other activity on your PDA this could
make it loud.
Q. I received "Socket Notification error" message
You are running PocketGphone over (2 PocketGphone is running) Go to "Setting"
- "Memory" - "Application", then End PocketGphone.
Then open Gphone again. (This is a bug of OS)
