Option settings:
Display
Skin settings:
You can select your skin from the drop down menu, such as "Metal Silver" or "Wooden" skins.
Always on Top:
When you check here, Gphone is displayed on top of all other applications.
Translucent:
By checking this box the Gphone window will become translucent. Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating systems only.
Automatically answer calls:
When you check here, Gphone will automatically answer all incoming calls.
You can set your original ringing tone. When you check here, you can browse to find your own ringing tone. You can use tones or music in .wav format.
Your nickname:
Set the nickname that will be displayed to all of your partners/buddies.
Start Gphone at Startup:
When you check here, Gphone will start when your computer starts up.
Sound
Device for play:
Choose the audio device you would like to hear your callers through (generally your sound card).
Device for record:
Choose the recording device you will speak through (generally your sound card.
My Ringing tone:
You can set your original ringing tone. When you check here, you can browse to find your own ringing tone. You can use tones or music in .wav format.
Mute:
Check here if you do not want Gphone to make an audible ringing tone when a call is coming in.
Recording button:
You can record your own voice for your ringing tone.
Microphone Reception:
You can adjust your microphone reception in real-time while you are talking on Gphone. If your voice is not transmitted correctly, you can fix it by adjusting 1) when you hear noises, change the reception to higher, and 2) when you experience voice delay, change the reception to lower.
Network
Voice Communication Port (UDP):
Connect - Set the port to use for receiving voice data.5060 is the default value.
Listen - Set the port to use for sending voice data. 6701 is the default value.
File Transfer Port (TCP):
Set the port to use for sending and receiving files. 600 is the default value.
Network:
Select the type of Networking / Internet connection you have.
FTTH/DSL/T1/T3: When you have 128kbps+ bandwidth. In comparison with Dialup mode or ISDN mode, this mode will give you better sound and less delay.
ISDN connection: ··When you have 64kbps-128kbps bandwidth.
Dialup connection: ··When you have 32kbps-64kbps bandwidth.
Gphone automatically adjusts to a lower bandwidth, if the bandwidth of your partner is different from yours.
Log
From the log file you can view a record of calls you have received and initiated as well as who you have communicated with and when the communication occurred. In addition, your text chat information is logged which will allow you to review previously transmitted information such as web links.
Make Log:
If this box is checked, a log file will be created.
Delete Log File:
Click this button to delete all existing logs.
Open Log File:
Click this button to open the log file. When extension of this file is .log the application may not be defined, you may not be able to open. If you would like to open it with notepad, please change the extension to .txt.
About
Your G number will never be changed.
You can receive one G number per e-mail address. If you would like to receive another G number, then please register with a different e-mail address.
If you already have multiple G numbers, you can change them on this option screen. Tap Change, and then enter your new G number and password.
