- Minimal Resource Requirements
Many of today's VoIP software solutions require high performance computers and vast operational resources. In order to transmit voice data, and to perform compression deployment smoothly, a CPU of at least 300MHz and 32MB of memory space is required.
PocketGphone, with our patent pending Gphone Engine utilizes original parallel processing and buffering optimization technology; which allows for a low rate of CPU load. This enables PocketGphone to operate on devices with low processing capabilities such as PDAs. With PocketGphone, most PDA's can operate using our high compression CODEC to generate high quality voice communication.
PocketGphone can communicate with Gphone PC version as well other platforms and devices in the near future.
- Small Footprint
The Gphone engine is only 40kb in size making it possibly the smallest VoIP processing engine on resource limited personal computing devices. Competing technologies are several megabytes in size and are not capable of being ported to lower cost consumer based communication devices.
The Gphone engine can be utilized on all types of devices with limited processing power and memory storage. In 2003 you can expect to see Gphone in all types of devices.
- Superior Delay Reduction
The process of compressing and decompressing voice communications can result in up to several seconds of delay with most PC and PDA based products.
Using the Patent Pending Gphone Engine, the pause value for every packet processed at the time of sending and receiving is optimized dramatically. This optimization is made to both the voice conversion and task processing engine. All of the above is made possible by our unique technology to detect useless packet transmissions and omitting unnecessary processes, in a small process motion.
With this technology, theoretical delay is significantly reduced. We have demonstrated over the public Internet that Gphone enabled products are capable of delay which is lower than cellular calls
